About it all…
My mind is open. This is a repository of my journey this year as a second year Student Success teacher with the HWDSB.
It is an interesting position where I am part instructional coach and part transitions teacher. it means being a part of teacher planning and capacity building, but going beyond that and advocating for students as we investigate student voice, choice, inquiry and engagement.
My blog, here, will be an attempt to make my thinking visible. As John Hattie states, it’s just as important for teachers to make their teaching visible as it is to make student thinking visible. Why hide it? So, let’s be deliberate, directed and reflective. In my efforts to become paperless, this blog will be my vehicle to be visible.
